Locally embedded concepts should be related to broader, universally intelligible frameworks.<\/p><p data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1325\"><strong data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1058\">\u2022 Conceptual and Terminological Clarity<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1325\">Concepts, figures, events, and geographical terms should be clearly defined for readers encountering them for the first time.<\/p><p data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1325\">Terms must be briefly explained when first introduced, and wherever possible, linked to relevant encyclopedia entries or glossary items.<\/p><p data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1735\"><strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1368\">\u2022 Cultural and Linguistic Sensitivity<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1735\">Given the multilingual readership, local terms (such as <em data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1433\">dede<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1441\">ocak<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1450\">talip<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1462\">Raa Haqi<\/em>) should be presented in their original forms with clear explanations.<\/p><p data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1735\">Language that is derogatory, reductive, orientalist, or exclusionary must be strictly avoided. When presenting differing views among Alevi traditions, pluralism and respectful tone must be maintained.<\/p><p data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"2186\"><strong data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"1771\">\u2022 Engagement with Oral Culture<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"2186\">One of the unique features of the Alevi Encyclopedia is its effort to record memory and knowledge rooted in oral tradition. Therefore, in addition to academic references, data obtained from fieldwork, interviews, or oral testimonies may be included\u2014provided that the source is clearly cited.<\/p><p data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"2186\">When narratives, myths, idioms, or <em data-start=\"2103\" data-end=\"2110\">deyi\u015f<\/em> are used, they should be accompanied by translation or explanatory context.<\/p><p data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2469\"><strong data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2221\">\u2022 Holistic and Inviting Style<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2469\">Entries should aim to actively engage readers by providing conceptual framing while also opening space for interpretation.<\/p><p data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2469\">Each entry should be structured to lead the reader toward related entries, new questions, and further areas of research.<\/p><p data-start=\"2476\" data-end=\"2512\"><strong>2. Who Can Contribute?<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"4141\" data-end=\"4351\">The Alevi Encyclopedia welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, writers, and all individuals working on Alevism. Submissions will be evaluated according to editorial principles and ethical standards.<\/p><p data-start=\"4358\" data-end=\"4385\"><strong>2. Biography Submission<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"4387\" data-end=\"4699\">Authors must submit a short biography (150\u2013200 words) including contact details (email and\/or institutional affiliation).<\/p><p data-start=\"4387\" data-end=\"4699\">Biographies can be uploaded via the \u201cAuthor Login\u201d section of the website by creating a personal account.<\/p><p data-start=\"4387\" data-end=\"4699\">Optionally, authors may include personal website links or social media profiles.<\/p><p data-start=\"4706\" data-end=\"4730\"><strong>3. Use of Real Names<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"4732\" data-end=\"4815\">Authors must use their legal names in all submissions. Pseudonyms are not accepted.<\/p><p data-start=\"4822\" data-end=\"4855\"><strong>4. Post-Publication Revisions<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"4857\" data-end=\"4990\">Authors may revise their published entries in coordination with the Editorial Board. Editorial Process and Publication Schedule<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"5504\" data-end=\"5535\"><strong>1. Languages of Publication<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"5537\" data-end=\"5767\">The Alevi Encyclopedia is currently published in Turkish and English. Authors may submit entries in either language.<\/p><p data-start=\"5537\" data-end=\"5767\">In the near future, additional versions will be introduced in K\u0131rmancki (Zazaki), Kurmanci, German, and French.<\/p><p data-start=\"5774\" data-end=\"5801\"><strong>2. Publication Schedule<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"5803\" data-end=\"5969\">The encyclopedia is published periodically based on open calls for submissions.
