Musahiplik – Musahiplik Rituals – Görgü Cem – Ustudan – Social Change
In this video, Pir Hasan Erkişi provides a detailed explanation of the institution of musahiplik, which occupies a fundamental place in the Alevi belief system, as well as the ritual practices associated with it. Shaped around concepts such as the Ocak structure, social change, ustudan, ustudayin, the Görgü Cem, standing in the dar, and the Mansur Darı, the narrative renders visible the functions of musahiplik at both individual and collective levels. Pir Hasan Erkişi explains how this institution is practiced, how it establishes a moral and social order grounded in ikrar and rıza, and how it has been maintained through historical continuity while also undergoing transformations in the present.
