Naci and Naciye – The Enlightened Community – The Community of Light
In this video, Pir Hüseyin Bildik offers an in-depth discussion of Gurûh-ı Nâci and Gurûh-ı Nâciye, two foundational concepts of the Alevi creation narrative. Also referred to as the “Community of Light,” the “Community of Knowledge,” or the “Enlightened Community,” these cosmic beings provide a framework through which Alevi teaching reflects on the human relationship to hakikat, the creation of the universe, and the connection between knowledge, light, and ultimately the Alevi community itself.
Through the narrative of Şit-i Naciye, together with the figure of Şit and the symbols of Ateş, Güneş, and Xızır, the video strikingly demonstrates how Alevi cosmology diverges from Abrahamic religious traditions. This narration clearly reflects the distinctive cosmological vision of Alevi theology and the sacred status of communities that carry “knowledge of hakikat.”
This recording was made on 10–11 May 2025 at the Dortmund Alevi Cultural Center (DAKME), within the Rıza Şehri Academy, as part of the Pirler–Analar Workshop organized for the Alevi Encyclopedia project.
