ANNOUNCEMENTS

Call for Authors: Alevi Encyclopedia – Third Group of Entries (Submission Deadline: 15 December 2025)

Dear Researchers,

We invite you to contribute to the Alevi Encyclopedia, a multilingual and open-access digital platform dedicated to documenting and conveying the full diversity and depth of the Alevi world.

Launched on 2 July 2025, the platform brings together scholars, community leaders, and members from different generations. It has already attracted remarkable attention, reaching 95,000 page views in its first month (July), over 120,000 in its second (August), and again 120,000 in its third (September), with an average of 1,200 daily visitors.

This significant interest offers valuable opportunities for researchers to gain visibility and recognition both within the international academic community and among the broader public. The Alevi Encyclopedia continues to evolve through various collaborative projects, aiming to create new opportunities and platforms for scholarly engagement.

The Second Alevi Encyclopedia Symposium, held on 10–12 October 2025 in Dortmund, was concluded with great enthusiasm and productivity. Over 40 scholars from Turkey, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and other countries participated in three days of workshops, rich discussions, and joint planning sessions, which set a strong direction for the encyclopedia’s new phase. This gathering, marked by the establishment of an expanded editorial board and thematic working groups, represents the transition into the encyclopedia’s second stage—one that promises a more collective and dynamic process ahead.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all researchers, authors, and supporters who have contributed to the Alevi Encyclopedia and to one of the most comprehensive events ever organised in the field of Alevi Studies.

We now warmly welcome your contributions for the Third Group of Entries, which will continue to shed light on Alevi Studies, cultural memory, and the broader Alevi community.
