Musahiplik – Marriage – Rızalık – İkrar – the Red Belt
In this video, Ana Narin Gülçiçeği addresses the institutions of marriage and musahiplik in Alevism through core concepts such as musahiplik, “the command of Hak in Alevism,” rızalık, ikrar, the red belt, cem, and dar. Through strong critical reflections from a women’s perspective, she questions the social and religious dimensions of the “command of Hak,” while clearly articulating the egalitarian structure and distinctive features of women–men relations in Alevi teaching. The video renders visible how a union grounded in rıza and ikrar in Alevism is sustained not merely as an individual choice but as an ethical and cosmological principle.
