The Third Gate of Hak (Wayir–Sahip–Xudê)

In this video, Ali Doğan, a member of the Seyyid Seyfeddin (Pîrî Sevdîn) Ocak, explains the concepts of Wayır and Xudê, which are regarded as the “Third Gate of Hak” in the Alevi belief system. Based on the principle of sahiplik (custodianship), this gate represents a stage in which the individual assumes responsibility for the yol and embraces roles of carrying and guidance at both individual and communal levels. The existence of Ocaks gains its meaning through this gate. The video also explains the concept of baca (locın/rojin). In this context, Pir Ali Doğan also refers to symbolic narratives in which birth and wisdom are associated with women, through mythological figures such as Marê Reş (black snake) and Şahmaran. The video renders visible the subtle balances between custodianship, gender, and cosmology in the Raa Haqi belief system and reflects the depth of the concept of Wayır.

This recording was carried out in April 2025 in Dersim, at the Munzur Radio Studio, with the contributions of Pir News Agency (PİRHA), for the Alevi Encyclopedia.
